"I utilize the handmade as an accent to my CAD work. The finishing of my work, sanding and polishing, is a hand process that I use to impart the artists touch onto the piece. The building of my work takes place in CAD, where I can push the limits of traditional making. My practice started with learning the traditional means of making; having an understanding of the rules and limitations of making helps me to push the boundary further while working in CAD and 3D printing where the traditional rules do not apply. Thus, the handmade not only is present within my work but also informs my work."
